Loopholes are the main entry point for jailbreaks and they include injecting payloads into devices or rooting them by installing software at the root level, which is where the bootloader is located for most devices. This allows for more functionality in their devices. Jailbreaking is achieved when users and good-willed hackers use a security vulnerability to customize the user experience and to use their devices at an admin level. Such systems include Android, the PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch. Even though this concept was introduced with the iPhone, many other systems will soon have similar vulnerabilities that will allow users to bypass restrictions manufacturers put in place. Jailbreaking became popular because of it and nearly 10% of iOS users in 2007 were jailbreakers. The first jailbreak was released in 2007 where users can use the built-in web browser to install unauthorized software onto their devices. These limitations include not having an app store and not being able to switch cellular carriers. When the first iPhone was released, there were many limitations in place. The term Jailbreaking originated when iPhone users broke free of restrictions that Apple implemented in iOS devices. If you choose to jailbreak your devices it is your sole responsibility for any damages caused which are but not limited to, restricted access to cloud services, device instability, voiding warranties, and device inoperability. We will take no responsibility for any broken/bricked devices in your jailbreaking endeavours. This article is for informational purposes only, except when used as a guide. • I welcome any input and ideas on how I can get my good old Wii working again. Things I have tried: Using bootmii to restore 4 different backups dating from 2018 to 2010 Using ModManager to reinstall system menus and install corresponding patched IOS Using ohneschwanzenegger to create fresh NANDs from my existing backups and installing fresh sysmenus on them I have bootmii and complete access to Homebrew Channel, yet I can't seem to figure out why I can't unbrick this thing. Curiously I never see the "Health and Safety screen" and I don't have priiloader hacks installed. It gets hung up on loading the system menu, so I can see a black screen and the tiles for the channels flash occasionally, but the system menu never loads.

Now, for some reason it won't load into the system menu with all the channels etc. No biggie, it's happened before and I've just restored from one of my NAND backups through BootMii and everything eventually works. My original Wii for some reason bricks itself after long periods of no use.
